We are 1 The Island Quarter – an ambitious and exciting real estate development of a 36‑acre freehold site in the heart of Nottingham, ongoing since 2016. This dynamic hospitality team is charged with creating a sustainable business, transforming the site into a cultural hub and a new destination for food, arts, music, sporting events, and community interests. The first phase includes the Binks Yard and Cleaver & Wake restaurants, an outdoor live events space with a bandstand, and an internal venue for private functions.
Binks Yard Chef de Partie Responsibilities
As a Binks Yard Chef de Partie, you will need experience in working in a fast‑paced kitchen. This is not an entry‑level position – you will support the Senior Chefs to manage the Binks Yard kitchen to the standards set out by the Chef Patron, directing your section and enforcing a high level of health and hygiene standards.
You will manage food margins through wastage and portioning as well as develop a high‑performing team. All chefs in your section will have a development plan and you will nurture that talent to become your successor.
A 5* food hygiene rating is your bread and butter; you manage your section to be audit ready at all times, and food safety is paramount – you put your guests as your priority.
