Bindmans is a successful London law firm, with a reputation for excellence and being at the cutting edge of legal developments. The Reception function is the public face of the firm and the first point of contact for the majority of our clients, visitors and staff and acts as representatives of the firm. We have an excellent opportunity for a receptionist who is flexible and can operate a busy switchboard at our offices in Barnes.

Overview of key responsibilities:

  • Reception
  • Switchboard operator
  • Meet and greet clients/visitors
  • Maintain reception and office area
  • Opening incoming post
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning post
  • Arranging courier pick-ups and deliveries, and dealing with incoming and outgoing deliveries
  • Carry out First Aider duties
  • Ordering office supplies; stationery, tea, coffee etc
  • Checking the building daily for any maintenance issues and Health and Safety

Skills/knowledge requirements:

  • Previous reception and switchboard experience in a similar professional services environment is essential.
  • Courteous and efficient manner; You will have a professional approach, excellent communication skills and a strong focus on client care.
  • You should also be confident, well presented and keen to learn.
  • Reliable, flexible and an excellent team player.
  • Able to remain calm and perform well under pressure.
  • Able to use own initiative.
