About us
Bindbridge is pioneering sustainable agriculture through artificial intelligence (AI)-powered molecular glue discovery. With backing from leading venture capitalists including Speedinvest and Nucleus Capital, we are building a computational platform to bring targeted protein degradation to agriculture. Our first goal is to discover herbicides that revolutionise crop protection while minimising environmental impact.
The role
We are looking for a highly capable Founder’s Associate to work directly with the CEO and co-founders across strategy, operations, scientific execution, investor interactions, and company-building. This is not a fixed, siloed role; it is intentionally broad and designed to grow with you. As Bindbridge scales, you will have the opportunity to specialise in the areas you find most meaningful, whether that becomes:
- Research operations (supporting scientific project planning, coordination, documentation, and reporting).
- Fundraising and investor relations (materials, narratives, financial models, and communications).
- Commercial strategy (customer interactions, opportunity assessment, market analysis).
- Operations and people (building the operational backbone, hiring, culture, and systems).
You will start as a force multiplier for the founders, learning every part of the business and progressively owning more critical functions. Within 6 to 12 months, this role can evolve into Chief of Staff, Operations Lead, Research Program Manager, or a leadership position tailored to your strengths. If you want an accelerated path into venture-backed AI/biotech leadership, then this is it.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic and commercial
- Partner directly with the CEO as a thought partner on strategy, planning, and execution.
- Conduct market, competitive, and scientific research to support commercial and product decisions.
- Prepare high-quality materials (decks, briefs, models, memos) for investors, commercial partners, and internal strategic discussions.
- Support customer engagements and ensure scientific and commercial deliverables run smoothly.
- Own and refine internal processes across finance, HR, legal, and hiring.
- Build and improve systems that support scaling from knowledge management to onboarding to reporting.
- Manage cross-functional alignment across science, engineering, and operations.
- Use AI tools to automate workflows, improve efficiency, and streamline internal operations.
- Act as an extension of the CEO: anticipate needs, manage priorities, and remove friction.
- Represent leadership in meetings, track decisions, and drive follow-through across teams.
- Handle fast-moving, high-stakes tasks with confidentiality, judgement, and independence.
What you will bring
- Degree in business, science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in either an early startup, research environment, consultancy, or finance role.
- Exceptional organisational skills: able to manage communications, deadlines, and parallel work streams.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset. You don’t wait for instructions, you spot problems and act.
- Ability to learn complex scientific and technical concepts rapidly, ideally with exposure to biotechnology, AI, or related fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to distil complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Flexibility to move between commercial, operational, and administrative scopes depending on company needs.
- A delivery-oriented mindset and a passion for enabling cutting-edge research through scalable systems.
Nice to have
- Experience in biotech, agriculture, or AI.
- Familiarity with startup finance, grant writing, or investor communications.
- Strong command of modern AI tools (automation, LLM workflows, data analysis).
Competitive salary and meaningful equity, commensurate with experience. Fully remote work arrangement with quarterly in-person team meetings. Be part of a founding team shaping a new era of AI-driven agriculture. Contribute directly to global food security and environmental sustainability through safer, smarter crop protection. Join a culture that values curiosity, rigour, and speed, where transparency, ownership, and collaboration across science and engineering are core principles.
Application process
Our hiring process is designed to be clear, efficient, and a genuine reflection of how we work:
- CV review: We look for relevant expertise and motivation to join an early-stage, mission-driven team.
- First interview: A conversation with a team member to learn more about your background and give you a chance to ask questions about Bindbridge.
- Second interview: A practical exercise exploring your approach to analysis, communication, and execution.
- References and offer: We check references, then move quickly to an offer if we are aligned.
Communicate clearly at every stage. Focus on what you can grow into, not what you have not done yet. Be transparent with feedback and open to yours.
