We’re looking for an ambitious, hands-on Group Financial Controller to take ownership of our core finance function and play a key role in our next stage of growth. You’ll be the go-to finance leader for the business, building robust controls, improving insight, and partnering closely with our VP of Finance, leadership team, and department heads across the company.
If you’re excited by the idea of shaping a modern SaaS finance function, enjoy rolling up your sleeves, and want your work to have a direct impact on how we scale globally, we’d love to hear from you.
The role:
As Group Financial Controller, you’ll lead our day-to-day finance operations while building a scalable finance function that can support rapid international growth. You’ll own financial control, reporting, compliance, audit, and group consolidation across multiple entities, and you’ll be a key partner in improving systems, processes, and commercial visibility across the business.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced SaaS environments, enjoys bringing structure to complexity, and combines strong technical accounting skills with commercial curiosity and business partnering.
What you’ll do:
- Financial control & reporting
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare consolidated group management accounts and insightful board reporting packs
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with SaaS accounting standards
- Oversee statutory reporting, audits, and year-end accounts across jurisdictions
- Maintain and continuously improve robust financial controls, policies, and compliance procedures
- Manage cash flow reporting and working capital oversight
- Prepare board packs and reporting to investors and lenders
- Group accounting & compliance
- Lead multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local tax requirements
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Oversee VAT, corporation tax, R&D tax credits, and international compliance requirements
- Systems & process improvement
- Improve financial systems, reporting automation, and operational workflows
- Help scale finance infrastructure to support international growth and future funding events
- Drive process standardisation and internal control enhancements across entities
- Partner with RevOps and commercial teams around contract management, data accuracy, and revenue processes
About you:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
- Background in SaaS, technology, or high-growth startup environments
- Strong technical accounting and group consolidation experience
- Proven experience managing audits and multi-entity structures
- Deep understanding of SaaS revenue recognition and subscription business models
- Comfortable operating both strategically and being hands-on in the detail
- Advanced Excel and finance systems experience (experience with tools like Campfire and/or NetSuite is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
- Experience supporting PE/VC-backed businesses is highly desirable
What we offer:
We want you to do your best work and feel supported — inside and outside of work. Here are some of the benefits you can expect:
- Fully remote working, with flexibility to structure your day around outcomes, not hours
- 28 days of paid annual leave, plus public holidays, wellbeing days, and your birthday off!
- Private health insurance for you and your family with Vitality Health
- Budget for home office setup and productivity tools
- Coaching and Counselling via Oli Health
- Pension with Royal London
- Regular virtual events and in-person offsites to bring the team together
- The opportunity to join a fast-growing, product-led SaaS company and shape the future of our finance function
We’re committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. If you don’t meet every requirement listed, we’d still encourage you to apply.
