We are seeking a driven, organised and professional Transport (Traffic) Planner to join our planning team. The Role

  • Planning and managing 15+ vehicles per day
  • Optimising routes to minimise costs and maximise vehicle revenue
  • Proactively planning to prevent delays and maintain service levels
  • Working closely with fellow planners to support our existing client base
  • Liaising with drivers, service providers and the Fleet Manager to resolve issues such as breakdowns
  • Coordinating vehicle maintenance schedules with the Fleet Manager
  • Communicating with Site Managers to provide accurate ETAs and key delivery information

About You

You will be a confident and adaptable planner with strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in vehicle route planning, preferably within the construction or logistics sector
  • A strong understanding of Driving Hours and Working Time Regulations
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A professional and confident telephone manner
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive approach with clear ownership of tasks
