A well-established regional housebuilder is looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager / Finishing Foreman to support the completion of a live new build housing development in the Wigan area. This is an immediate requirement for a minimum 4-week contract, with the potential for extension.
Your new role
You will play a key role in the final stages of the build programme, ensuring plots are completed to a high standard and ready for customer handover. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage snagging works, oversee quality inspections and ensure health & safety standards are maintained across site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing finishing trades and plot completions
- Driving quality standards across all completed homes
- Coordinating and closing out snagging items
- Assisting with NHBC inspections and customer handovers
- Monitoring site health & safety compliance
- Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman or Finishing Manager on new build housing developments
- Strong eye for detail and quality
- Experience managing subcontractors during finishing stages
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
- CSCS card and First Aid qualification
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
