We're recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major water treatment project in Portsmouth.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of water treatment and associated civil engineering works, ensuring activities are completed safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements.
- Site Engineer Responsibilities
- Setting out for water treatment structures, pipelines, reinforced concrete works, and associated infrastructure.
- Carrying out topographical and as-built surveys.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation and accurate site records.
- Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications and drawings.
- Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to achieve programme milestones.
- Resolving technical queries with the design and commercial teams.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitoring engineering progress and maintaining accurate records of completed works.
- Site Engineer Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on water, utilities, or heavy civil engineering projects.
- Experience with reinforced concrete structures, drainage, pipelines, or water treatment infrastructure.
- Competent in using Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Proficient in Auto CAD.
- Strong understanding of setting out, engineering controls, and QA procedures.
- Valid CSCS Card (essential).
- Full UK driving licence.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable.
