Company & Project:

An established and highly regarded regional Main Contractor with a strong track record of delivering successful schemes across Norfolk, currently turning over approximately £30 million. Operating primarily across the Mixed-Use, Education, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors with project values ranging between £2m and £10m, they are actively looking to expand their commercial team with a talented, ambitious Quantity Surveyor.

The successful candidate will initially join a supportive site team on a high-profile local Norfolk scheme to integrate into the business's processes, before taking full commercial lead on an upcoming project valued at c£5m. Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the day-to-day commercial and financial management functions of projects from inception through to final account. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducting detailed procurement processes, placing sub-contract packages, and managing sub-contractor accounts.

Measurement, value engineering, and detailed cost valuations.

Preparing and submitting timely interim applications for payment and interim valuations.

Monthly CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reporting and cash flow forecasting.

Managing variations, claims, and compensation events to protect profit margins.

A minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.

Experience working for a Main Contractor across New Build or Refurbishment sectors would be advantageous.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build robust client and sub-contractor relationships.

In-depth working knowledge and practical experience using JCT Design & Build (D&B) contracts is desirable.

Previous Roles: Assistant Quantity Surveyor OR Project Quantity Surveyor OR Trainee Quantity Surveyor OR Quantity Surveyor.

Qualifications & Skills:

BSc (Hons) or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a comparable relevant qualification.
