We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways and earthworks project in Newcastle.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale infrastructure scheme with a leading civil engineering contractor.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of highways and earthworks packages, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for highways, earthworks and associated infrastructure works.
- Carrying out topographical and As-Built surveys.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation and site records.
- Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to specification.
- Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to deliver programme milestones.
- Resolving technical queries with the design team.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways and earthworks projects.
- Competent using Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment.
- Experience using Auto CAD.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures, setting out and engineering controls.
- Full UK driving licence.
- SMSTS or SSSTS is desirable.
