£50,000 to £60,000 + Company Van + Benefits

MDE are partnered with a leading UK renewable energy contractor who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Installation Managers to support the continued growth of their commercial solar division.

This is a field based management role covering projects across the England.

You will be responsible for leading Mechanical Installation Engineers, maintaining installation quality, driving health and safety standards and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently.

The Role

  • Managing Mechanical Installation Engineers across multiple projects.
  • Carrying out technical inspections and QA checks.
  • Identifying and reporting non conformances.
  • Mentoring Lead Engineers and supporting team development.
  • Ensuring compliance with company processes, health and safety and quality standards.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Design Engineers and Planning teams.
  • Reviewing installation designs before works commence.
  • Resolving technical and installation issues on site.
  • Producing reports and communicating project progress to senior management.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture across all projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience delivering commercial or industrial mechanical installations.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising installation teams.
  • Commercial Solar PV experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of QA, installation standards and CDM.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and engineers simultaneously.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline.
  • SMSTS, SSSTS, NEBOSH or similar health and safety qualification.
  • Renewable energy or Solar PV experience.
