We're recruiting a Senior Mechanical Estimator for a growing specialist HVAC & Mechanical contractor delivering commercial air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical projects.

This is a key pre-construction role, taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover to the project team.

The Role

  • Prepare detailed mechanical and HVAC estimates
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Complete take-offs and build accurate cost plans
  • Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Price labour, materials, plant and specialist packages
  • Identify risks, exclusions and value-engineering opportunities
  • Produce competitive tenders and commercial proposals
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams
  • Support tender reviews and handover to delivery teams
  • Mentor junior estimators where required
  • The Candidate
  • Strong experience in mechanical / HVAC estimating
  • Background with an HVAC, air conditioning or M&E contractor
  • Good knowledge of: Air conditioning
  • VRF / VRV
  • Ventilation
  • Mechanical building services
  • Confident reading drawings and specifications
  • Good supplier and subcontractor knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation
  • Able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
