A well-established regional building contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support a number of live and upcoming construction projects across the North West. Operating across both residential and commercial sectors, the company delivers high-quality developments ranging from new build housing schemes to bespoke clubhouse and community facilities.
Your new role
Due to an increase in workload, an opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Site Engineer to join the team on a temporary basis. Projects may include new build residential developments and the construction of new clubhouse facilities.
Your duties will include:
- Setting out for all aspects of the build programme
- Providing accurate surveys and measurements on site
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with drawings and specifications
- Liaising with Site Managers, Project Managers and subcontractors
- Maintaining site records and QA documentation
- Supporting health & safety compliance across the project
- Assisting with progress reporting and as-built information
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within the construction industry
- Strong setting out experience on new build projects
- Proficient with robotic total stations and surveying equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- CSCS Card essentialFull UK driving licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
