Are you an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for a varied role where you can work across multiple disciplines?

We’re working with an established fire and security specialist. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for a multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer to join their team in the Manchester area.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault finding of a range of fire and security systems. This is a varied position, with the opportunity to work across different technologies rather than being limited to one area.

Your work will include:

  • Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems
  • Working on fire suppression systems
  • Installing, maintaining and fault finding security systems
  • Working with CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
  • Carrying out inspections, testing and compliance checks
  • Diagnosing faults and providing effective technical solutions
  • Ensuring systems are operating correctly and in line with relevant standards
  • Supporting wider fire safety projects and providing technical advice where required
  • Travelling to customer sites across the region

About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in fire and security:

  • Previous experience working with fire and security systems
  • Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of relevant fire safety standards, particularly BS 5839
  • Experience with fire alarms and/or security systems
  • A practical, problem-solving approach
  • The ability to work independently on customer sites
  • A willingness to travel as required
  • Relevant industry qualifications or certifications would be advantageous
