The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to support the delivery of a major student accommodation development in Manchester. This is a long-term freelance opportunity offering 12 months plus of work on a high-profile residential scheme.

- Valid CSCS Card
- First Aid at WorkExperience:
Strong track record managing electrical subcontractors and direct labour on live construction projects
Proven industry expertise with a track record of overseeing electrical packages on major residential developments
Key Skills
- Strong electrical knowledge
- Competent IT / software skills
- Extensive health and safety knowledge
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to organise and manage project schedules
- A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
- Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes
- Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks
- Manage direct operatives and daily site activities
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates
- Manage material deliveries, storage, and allocation
- Oversee and coordinate electrical subcontractors on site
- Monitor installation quality and implement QA procedures
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and other trades
- Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting documentation
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimise programme disruptionPromote a positive health, safety, and quality culture across the site team
- Coordinate labour, materials, and resources to maintain programme targets
- Manage health and safety documentation and site compliance requirements
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and standards
- Support the successful delivery of the project through effective planning and coordination
