As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within the cladding and façades industry.
The Role
As Assistant Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for cladding and façade projects
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Producing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost plans
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules
- Assisting with value engineering exercises and identifying cost‑saving opportunities
- Working closely with the estimating, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender process
- Maintaining accurate tender documentation and estimating records
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Assistant Estimator will have:
- Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support role
- Experience within cladding, façades, roofing, glazing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageous
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- The ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- Relevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageous
