An established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join its Estates (Small Works) team.
This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects, ranging from refurbishment and fit-out works through to new-build developments.
Working across multiple projects simultaneously, you will play a key role in ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
You will provide leadership to site teams, work closely with commercial and design departments, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of multiple refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build commercial projects.
- Lead and support Project Managers and Site Managers across a range of live sites.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project performance, programmes, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify and manage project risks and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, statutory, and health and safety requirements.
- Work collaboratively with commercial, design, and pre-construction teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project delivery.
About You
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
- A proven track record of delivering refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build commercial projects.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and programme management experience.
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and construction best practice.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
