About the Role

The Project Manager – BMS / MEP will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of a major Building Management Systems (BMS), Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and MEP package, including Building Management Systems, Energy Management Systems, Security Systems, Communications & Network Systems, Smart Building Technologies and Master Systems Integration.

You will manage the project through every stage including pre-construction, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover, leading planners, quantity surveyors, project engineers, software engineers, commissioning teams and specialist subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams across BMS, ELV and MEP disciplines
  • Managing the overall project programme using MS Project or Asta Powerproject
  • Coordinating planners, quantity surveyors, engineers, software specialists and subcontractors
  • Driving programme performance through regular progress and look-ahead meetings
  • Managing project budgets, forecasts, valuations, variations and commercial performance
  • Reviewing subcontractor packages and negotiating changes where required
  • Issuing contractual notices including Early Warning and Delay Notices
  • Leading project risk reviews and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Maintaining quality assurance, CDM compliance and high health & safety standards
  • Overseeing installation, integrated systems testing and commissioning activities
  • Managing Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), ELV infrastructure, security systems and smart building integration
  • Coordinating client demonstrations, operator training and production of O&M manuals
  • Ensuring a smooth project handover and contractual close-out
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams
  • Delivering projects safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards

To be successful, you will have proven experience delivering major Building Management Systems (BMS), ELV and MEP projects, ideally within large commercial developments in London. Previous ELV (Extra Low Voltage) experience is essential, with a strong understanding of integrated building technologies including security, structured cabling, communications, smart building systems and Building Management Systems.

You will be an experienced project leader capable of managing multidisciplinary engineering teams while maintaining commercial control throughout the full project lifecycle. Experience delivering Intelligent Buildings, Smart Buildings, Building Automation, Master Systems Integration (MSI), BIM-enabled projects or complex technology-led commercial developments will be highly advantageous.
