Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing Building Services MEP contractor, delivering innovative mechanical and electrical solutions across some of the UK's most prestigious construction projects.

With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing design team based in London Bridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to develop their career within a contractor environment, working on high-profile projects across the commercial, mission-critical and residential sectors.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced Electrical Design Engineers, you'll play an integral role in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept through to construction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of electrical building services systems including lighting, small power, LV distribution, fire alarms, security and data installations.
  • Produce design calculations, technical reports and specifications.
  • Prepare and develop drawings using Auto CAD and Revit.
  • Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers, architects, consultants and project delivery teams.
  • Attend design meetings and site visits as required.
  • Support project delivery through all RIBA design stages and into construction.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations, British Standards and client requirements.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • A degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Ideally 1-3 years' experience within an MEP contractor or Building Services consultancy.
  • A good understanding of electrical building services design.
  • Experience using Auto CAD, with Revit experience advantageous.
  • Knowledge of electrical design software such as Amtech, Dialux or Relux would be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A genuine desire to develop a long-term career within Building Services Design.
