We are looking for an experienced Works Manager / Site Agent to join a major civil engineering scheme based near Leiston, Suffolk.
Candidates must have a strong background in civil engineering, with proven experience managing earthworks and heavy civils packages. This role would suit someone who has previously worked on major infrastructure, highways or large-scale ground engineering projects.
Duties
- Managing day-to-day site operations and construction activities
- Coordinating engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and site teams
- Managing programme, productivity and sequencing of works
- Overseeing earthworks, drainage, roads and associated civils
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with specifications
- Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
- Monitoring quality and health & safety standards
- Liaising with project management, engineering teams and client representatives
- Producing progress reports and resolving site issues
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Works Manager or Site Agent within civil engineering
- Strong experience managing earthworks and heavy civils
- Previous experience on major infrastructure or highways projects
- Experience with drainage, roads, groundworks and associated civils
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- Appropriate CSCS card
- Strong leadership and site management skills
Candidates without a solid civils background will not be suitable for this position.
