The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day mechanical delivery on a major project, working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and wider construction team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day mechanical works and site activities
- Leading supervisors, engineers and mechanical subcontractors
- Coordinating installation across HVAC, pipework, ventilation, plumbing and associated mechanical services
- Managing labour, materials and site resources
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Manager
- Coordinating mechanical works with electrical and other construction disciplines
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
- Managing site quality and resolving technical issues
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor with a strong building services background.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Proven experience managing mechanical installation on major projects
- Strong HVAC and mechanical services knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Good health & safety and quality awareness
- Experience working on projects valued at £5m+ would be advantageous
