A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join its expanding Building Services team.

Working within a collaborative design environment, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services solutions from concept through to completion, gaining experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

Reporting to Senior Engineers and Associates, youll assist in the design and coordination of mechanical systems on a variety of construction projects.

Key responsibilities include

  • Assisting with the design of HVAC, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.
  • Producing engineering calculations and technical reports.
  • Supporting the preparation of specifications and design drawings.
  • Working within BIM and Revit environments.
  • Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines.
  • Attending project and client meetings.
  • Supporting sustainable and low-carbon design solutions.
  • Assisting in the delivery of projects from feasibility through to construction.

About You

To be considered, you should have

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years experience within a building services consultancy or engineering environment.
  • An understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services design principles.
  • Experience using Revit, Auto CAD or similar design software.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ambition to progress your career within a consultancy environment.
