We are working exclusively with a specialist design and build contractor focused on mass timber construction, delivering beautifully crafted buildings using Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), Glulam and other engineered timber systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring in a Junior Architectural Technician who has a genuine passion for timber construction and wants to develop their career within a technically driven design environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn the technical side of design, detailing and fabrication, while also gaining exposure to the commercial and delivery aspects of projects.

As a Junior Architectural Technician you will:

  • Assist in producing technical drawings and models for mass timber projects
  • Support the development of detailed design and fabrication information
  • Work with architectural teams to ensure design intent is maintained
  • Coordinate information with manufacturers and project partners across Europe
  • Assist with early-stage modelling and technical coordination
  • Gain exposure to project costing, procurement and commercial discussions
  • Support the delivery of projects from concept through to installation
  • Opportunity to visit sites, suppliers and client meetings as experience grows

About You

  • Degree or qualification in Architectural Technology.
  • Passion for timber construction, sustainability and innovative design
  • Some experience with CAD / BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD or similar
  • Strong interest in learning technical detailing and buildability
  • Keen to understand how design integrates with fabrication and construction
  • Motivated, curious and eager to develop within a specialist sector
