We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Storesperson to join a busy Council depot on a 6-month contract. This role will support the efficient management of stock, materials, tools, and equipment used by operational and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries.
- Picking, issuing, and distributing materials and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
- Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods.
- Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining a tidy stores environment.
- Delivering materials to various council sites as required.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, or depot environment.
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using stock control systems is desirable.
