We are currently working with a leading main contractor delivering a RC Frame residential new build project comprising of 1100 units looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work alongside a Commercial Manager. The scheme is at the early stages with project completion due 2028.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of the project from site through to final account.
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages.
- Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and payment applications.
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control.
- Management of subcontractor accounts and payments.
- Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
- Close collaboration with the project team to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Attendance at client and project meetings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major construction residential projects
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative project team.
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
