Our client has built an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality commercial fit out projects, specialising in office environments alongside restaurants, bars and hospitality venues.

Thanks to continued success and sustained year-on-year growth, they are now looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the appointment of an experienced Estimator.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is financially secure, has a healthy order book and continues to win repeat business from an impressive client base.

About the Role

Based predominantly from the company's Mid Kent office, you'll play a key role in pricing a diverse range of fit out projects, working closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to secure new business and ensure competitive, accurate tenders.

Whilst the majority of projects are located across London and the South East, the company also undertakes schemes nationwide.

The client base provides plenty of variety when it comes to scope of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit out projects.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and client expectations.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and the internal project teams throughout the tender process.
  • Preparing cost plans, pricing schedules and tender reports.
  • Supporting successful project handovers to the delivery team following contract award.

About You

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous estimating experience within the fit out, interiors or refurbishment sector.
  • A strong understanding of commercial office and/or hospitality projects.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
