A Conservation Architect job is available in London, working on bespoke private residential and heritage-led projects across the UK. The role offers involvement across all RIBA stages, combining design development, technical detailing, client engagement and project delivery, with responsibility for projects from concept through to completion.

Practice & Project Information

This established practice delivers residential, heritage and masterplanning projects across the UK. Work includes new-build private homes, sensitive refurbishments, listed building projects and larger urban design schemes, with a focus on contextual design, technical quality and carefully considered detailing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects across all RIBA stages, maintaining design quality and technical accuracy
  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications in line with UK regulations
  • Manage client relationships and provide clear communication throughout project delivery
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
  • Manage project programmes, resources and agreed budgets
  • Contribute to design development with strong attention to context, detailing and client requirements

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Architect with at least 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential construction and traditional building methods
  • Experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages
  • Good understanding of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and construction systems
  • Experience in contract administration, building contracts and procurement routes
  • Strong communication and organisational skills; working knowledge of ArchiCAD beneficial
