Job Title: Working Supervisor
Job Type: Permanent full time position – Monday to Friday
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Rate of pay: £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus a company van

We are currently recruiting for a Working Supervisor to join a reputable social housing contractor, overseeing a Damp & Mould contract.

This is a hands‑on position, where you will be expected to carry out remedial works alongside supervising operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works
  • Carry out hands‑on remedial works when required
  • Lead by example and support operatives on‑site
  • Manage contractors and in‑house teams to ensure works are completed to a high standard
  • Carry out property inspections, quality checks and monitor remedial works
  • Identify damp and mould issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed
  • Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance
  • Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues and provide updates
  • Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and contract standards
  • Complete job sheets, reports and other relevant documentation
  • Support the Contract Manager with day‑to‑day delivery of the damp and mould programme

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Supervisor or experienced Multi-Trade Operative
  • Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs
  • Experience working on damp and mould remedial works is highly desirable
  • Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs
  • Ability to carry out hands‑on works alongside supervising a team
  • Experience carrying out property inspections and quality checks
  • SMSTS certification
  • Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
  • Full UK driving licence
