Health & Safety Officer - Bromley
We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join a well-established construction and property services business based in Bromley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for a varied role, combining office-based responsibilities with regular site visits to ensure compliance and promote best practice across multiple projects.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance throughout the business.
- Carrying out site inspections and health & safety audits.
- Advising management and site teams on health & safety legislation.
- Ensuring compliance with current HSE regulations.
- Supporting the development and implementation of health & safety procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments and reviewing method statements.
- Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Producing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Delivering toolbox talks where required.
- Promoting a positive health & safety culture across the business.
- Assisting with ISO management systems and continuous improvement.
- Liaising with site managers, supervisors and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Previous experience within construction, property services or a similar environment.
• Good understanding of
- ISO 9001 (Quality)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
- Strong knowledge of current UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Able to travel to sites as required.
