An excellent opportunity has become available for an Assistant Quantity Surveyorto join a leading property maintenance and regeneration contractor delivering Planned Works programmes across East London.
Working alongside an experienced commercial team, you'll support the successful delivery of refurbishment and improvement projects within the social housing sector.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their commercial career, gain exposure to large-scale contracts and progress towards becoming a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the commercial management of Planned Works contracts.
- Support the preparation of applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
- Help monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with subcontractor procurement, administration and payment processes.
- Prepare cost reports and commercial documentation.
- Review and process subcontractor applications and invoices.
- Support the identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with Operational Teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and contract documentation.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
About You This role would suit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to build their experience within the social housing or construction sector.
We're looking for someone with
- Previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Trainee Quantity Surveyor role.
- Experience within Planned Works, Social Housing, Construction or Refurbishment is desirable.
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction (or currently working towards one).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
