About the role
We are seeking experienced lecturers and industry experts to join a great team of film professionals in a vibrant and supportive working environment on a freelance basis at our Manchester Campus at Met Film School.
Opportunities are available for regular teaching starting September 2026, as well as covering teaching/deputising and guest lecturing on an ad hoc basis.
BIMM provides internal training and professional development for all lecturers, especially those new to teaching.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to our students, ensuring they acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the industry.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in music video, prepared by the lead lecturer for the module.
- Contribute towards assessment and the marking of student work, providing constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with industry trends and feed these into the curriculum.
- Mentor and support students, fostering their professional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the course content.
What You’ll Bring
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification in a film related subject is advantageous but not essential.
- A graduate or postgraduate qualification in education is advantageous but not essential.
- Teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
- Significant industry experience as a music video producer or director
