Job Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Aseptic Technician level 2 is responsible for the aseptic filling of drugs and in-process control testing according to specific product requirements and in compliance with cGMP, SOPs and Bimeda quality standards.
Compensation
Compensation: $31.05/ Hour. After completion of probation: $31.52/ Hour.
Job Duties
- Ensures that all work is carried out in compliance with company Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Wears proper personal protective equipment and follows aseptic procedures when gowning, de-gowning and working in the sterile and controlled areas.
- Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illnesses immediately and notifies manager of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
- Documentsallactivitiesastheyoccurinlogbooks,attachmentsandactivitylogsasrequired.
- MaintainscleaninglogsperSOPrequirements.
- Assistswiththetrainingofnewoperators(Aseptictechnicianlevel1)asrequired.
- DemonstratesproficiencyforallresponsibilitiesofanAsepticTechnicianLevel1.
- Cleans,sanitizesand/orsterilizesallequipmentandbottlesusedtostore,transfer,fillorfilter products.
- MonitorstheEMsystemandnotifiesSupervisor/Microbiologyofanyanomalies.
- Performsin-processtestingandrespondstomanufacturingandenvironmentalfeedbackfromvariousmonitoringsystems.
- Appliesallrequiredstatuslabelingtoin-processmaterials.
- ConductsfillingoperationsfollowingallrequiredAseptictechnique.
- Performsminoradjustmentstothefillinglinetomaintainasmoothoperationandfillvolumeandconductsamoderateleveloftroubleshooting.
- CompletesallnecessaryassignedtasksaspartoftheIncidentinvestigationprocess.
- Otherdutiesasassigned.
Technical & Physical Capabilities
- 1-2 years in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing GMP environment.
- Must be able to perform calculations using simple mathematical formulas using fractions, percentages and significant numbers.
- GoodcommandoftheEnglishLanguage.Mustbeabletoread,understand,followandcomply withtechnicalandwrittendocumentsandprocessinginstructionsaswellasclearlyandaccurately documentallrequiredinformationintobatchdocuments.
- Mechanicalaptituderequiredinordertooperatepumps,scales,PLC’sandPHmeters.
- Must be able to work around chemicals such as acids, bases, oxidizers and cleaning solvents while wearing appropriate PPE.
- Physical requirements include stooping, bending, standing, climbing and lifting of between 20kg-30Kg.
- Mustbeabletoworkwhilewearingfullprotectivegowningforentireshift.
- Mustbeableto standwithveryfewmovementsinacleanroomenvironmentforupto3hours.
