Shop/Factory Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors, offering them a good knowledge of our products. The role also involves assisting in the production of our products so the ideal candidate will need to be organised, attentive to detail, and possess strong communication skills. Previous experience / a South African connection is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Mon/Tues/Fri 09:00-16:45, Sat 09:45-16:30

Responsibilities

• Assist the production team in the drying and packing processes required to manufacture our meat products
• Washing and cleaning as required
• Strictly adhere to the hygiene standards required for working within a food environment
• Conscientious attitude towards time keeping and punctuality
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders within the shop
• Operate the till and handle transactions accurately
• Restock shelves as required
• Keep the shop clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
• Provide product information and recommend items based on customer needs
• Support in visual merchandising to enhance store appearance

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions
• Availability to work every Saturday

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 28.5 per week
