My client in Kent is currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator due to continued growth and increasing workload.

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled CNC Miller to join a well-established precision engineering company. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality precision components. This role would suit an experienced machinist with strong Heidenhain control knowledge and the ability to work from engineering drawings while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Milling machines (3 Axis)
  • Working with Heidenhain controls (preferred)
  • Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
  • Interpreting and understanding engineering drawings
  • Using a variety of measuring equipment to inspect components
  • Maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout production
  • Selecting and using appropriate cutting tools
  • Ensuring work is completed efficiently and accurately
  • Adhering to company procedures and health & safety policies
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator
  • Strong 3-axis CNC milling background
  • Experience with Heidenhain controls preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances
  • Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Good tooling knowledge
  • Positive attitude with strong organisational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
