We are looking for a detail-driven Commercial Account Handler with a healthcare insurance background to support our broking team across renewals and new business. You will be a key part of delivering a personal, high-quality service, helping service new and existing clientele and ensuring every policy is administered accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants to grow within a specialist brokerage environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the team with healthcare renewals from start to finish
  • Assisting with new business administration and onboarding
  • Preparing and issuing documentation, schedules, cover letters, and engagement with new prospective clients
  • Liaising with insurers/underwriters to obtain terms, amendments, and confirmations
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring tasks are completed within agreed timelines
  • Using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel) to manage day-to-day admin and reporting
  • Processing and debiting via our Lloyds software

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an account handling / broking support role
  • Healthcare insurance background (or strong experience working with healthcare-related clients/products, such as Surgical and Non-surgical indemnity)
  • Confident using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • High attention to detail and pride in accuracy
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and take feedback within your role
  • Able to work from an office in Essex or London (with hybrid working after qualifying period)

Preferred (not essential):

  • Strong administration background
