About Us: Billington Structures is one of the UK’s leading structural steelwork specialists designing, manufacturing and constructing a wide portfolio of projects to a variety of clients, established for over 75 years with a professional and dynamic team.

About the role: We are looking to recruit experienced Fabricator Welders, ideally with prior experience of Structural Steel. You will be responsible for:

  • Cutting
  • Assembling and welding steel components used in the construction of buildings, bridges, industrial plants and other structures
  • Transforming raw steel materials into accurate, high quality structural elements that meet engineering drawings specifications and standards.

We have opportunities at both our Barnsley sites, Wombwell – S73 8DS and Shafton – S72 8DS.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in steel fabrication.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in welding and metalworking processes.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to handle materials.
  • Trade qualification in fabrication/welding (preferred but not essential).

Location: Wombwell & Shafton

Salary: Days: Up to £20.06 per hour, Nights: Up to £20.74 per hour

Hours: Days: 40 Hours working week 07:15- 16:00 (Monday – Thursday), 07:45-14:00 (Friday); Nights: 46 hours per week, 12-hour days, Monday - Thursday.
