Hygiene Area Manager

Department: Hygiene

Hours of Work: 06.00 to 15.00 Flexibility will be required.

Salary: £13.49 Per hour

Reporting to Technical Department

As Area Manager you will:

  • Lead the hygiene team during the required shift, providing knowledge in relation to methods of cleaning to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the Operations team in relation to hygiene requirements and best practice.
  • Management of daily tasks to ensure Food Safety and Integrity is maintained at all times in relation to hygiene and GMP.
  • Play active part in promoting and maintaining the Food Integrity culture.
  • Verify hygiene operatives competency on shift.
  • Ensure the hygiene cleaning schedule is adhered to.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks completed by hygiene operatives.
  • Investigate and respond to hygiene related non-conformance in line with relevant procedures.
  • Support with investigations into any out of specification food contact or environmental swab fails.
  • Plan and manage cleaning factory equipment including but not limited to tins, racks and frames.
  • Support Shift Managers with non-conformance investigations where required.
  • Monitor all hygiene consumables on site and escalate appropriately for replenishment stock.
  • Provide support to the operations team during customer visits and audits.
  • Maintain hygiene traceability documentation including the presentation of hygiene traceability to Customers and 3rd party auditors where necessary.
  • Attend Tier 1 meetings.
  • Investigate any hygiene related down time on the shift.
  • Provide hands on support to the hygiene team ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
