You will work closely with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders to ensure our platform delivers accurate, auditable, and ASC 606–compliant revenue recognition processes.

Daily activities include leading client-facing workshops, translating accounting policies into system configurations, designing revenue schedules, configuring revenue automation rules, documenting and validating results, and ensuring integrations with ERP and general ledger systems meet compliance requirements. You will be the subject matter expert in both revenue recognition best practices and the BillingPlatform solution, partnering with internal teams and clients to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with finance and accounting teams to gather business requirements for revenue recognition and ASC 606 compliance.
  • Interpret and document clients’ revenue policies and processes, recommending best practices for automation.
  • Translate accounting requirements into functional system designs, including revenue schedules, rules, and allocation methods.
  • Document current and future-state revenue recognition process flows.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications, data flow diagrams, and accounting process maps.
  • Configure BillingPlatform’s revenue recognition module, including event triggers, rules, schedules, and reporting.
  • Coordinate and execute testing cycles, validating calculations and schedules against accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with client ERP/GL teams to design and validate integrations for journal entries, revenue schedules, and contract data.
  • Prepare and execute data migration activities, including contract and performance obligation data.
  • Provide training to client accounting and finance staff on system functionality and compliance impacts.
  • Partner with project managers to define and manage project scope, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of evolving revenue recognition standards and advise clients on impacts.
  • Work effectively with onshore and offshore configuration teams to deliver high-quality implementations.

Qualifications

  • CPA strongly preferred (active license or equivalent accounting designation).
  • 6–8+ years of experience in accounting, finance systems implementation in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing revenue recognition systems (e.g., BillingPlatform, NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, SAP RAR, Oracle Revenue Management Cloud).
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and related accounting treatments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to reconcile system output to accounting requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and finance/accounting audiences.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and revenue recognition subledgers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Motivated and independent with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
