About the Role
We are seeking an all-round Data Governance Consultant to support our clients in building and maturing their data governance capabilities. This role is broad in scope — you will work across strategy, operating model design, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, helping organisations embed a culture of data ownership and accountability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support data governance strategy engagements across industries.
- Design and implement data governance operating models, including roles, responsibilities, and decision‑making structures.
- Develop data policies, standards, and procedures tailored to client needs.
- Facilitate working sessions with data owners, stewards, and executive sponsors.
- Assess current‑state DG maturity and define target‑state roadmaps.
- Support clients in selecting and deploying governance tooling (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Ataccama).
- Produce high‑quality governance artefacts and client‑facing deliverables.
What You’ll Need
- Broad data governance experience spanning strategy, policy, and operating model design.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks including DAMA‑DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent.
- Track record of delivering DG programmes in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
- Experience working with data governance tooling (Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, or similar).
- Consultancy or advisory background preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce board‑level documentation.
