About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a major business transformation programme and help shape the organisation's future data landscape.

You will work across data architecture
, modelling, integration and analytics, collaborating with engineering teams, business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners to develop scalable and governed data solutions.

The successful candidate will bring strong enterprise data architecture experience and be comfortable translating complex business requirements into clear data architectures, models and technical designs.

What You'll Do

  • Define and develop enterprise data architectures across strategic programmes and projects.
  • Translate business and reporting requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models.
  • Define data structures, integration patterns and data flows across enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical designs and solution blueprints.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, Solution Architecture and wider technology teams.
  • Ensure data solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, governance frameworks and data standards.
  • Support the definition of ETL/ELT and data integration requirements.
  • Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical constraints.
  • Contribute to architecture governance and technical design reviews.
  • Work with third-party vendors and delivery partners to ensure architectural alignment.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, scalable and maintainable data platforms.
  • Communicate complex data architecture concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Enterprise Data Architect, Solutions Architect or similar senior architecture role.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures.
  • 10+ years' experience across data, analytics, engineering or architecture.
  • Strong expertise in data modelling, data integration, ETL/ELT and data warehousing.
  • Experience working with complex enterprise data environments and multiple source systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms and analytics technologies.
  • Experience defining data flows, integration frameworks and data structures.
  • Experience producing architecture documentation, technical designs and solution blueprints.
  • Understanding of data governance, architecture standards and enterprise technology principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with engineering teams, business stakeholders and third-party delivery partners.
  • Experience managing architectural risks, dependencies and technical decisions across programmes.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Information Systems or a related discipline..
  • Collaborative and supportive consultancy culture.
