About the Role

We are seeking an all‑round Data Governance Consultant to support our clients in building and maturing their data governance capabilities. This role is broad in scope – you will work across strategy, operating model design, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, helping organisations embed a culture of data ownership and accountability.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support data governance strategy engagements across industries.
  • Design and implement data governance operating models, including roles, responsibilities, and decision‑making structures.
  • Develop data policies, standards, and procedures tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate working sessions with data owners, stewards, and executive sponsors.
  • Assess current‑state DG maturity and define target‑state roadmaps.
  • Support clients in selecting and deploying governance tooling (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Ataccama).
  • Produce high‑quality governance artefacts and client‑facing deliverables.

What You’ll Need

  • Broad data governance experience spanning strategy, policy, and operating model design.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks including DAMA‑DMBOK, DCAM, or equivalent.
  • Track record of delivering DG programmes in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences.
  • Experience working with data governance tooling (Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, or similar).
  • Consultancy or advisory background preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to produce board‑level documentation.
