Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to join our new Belfast engineering team. You will design and implement declarative solutions, manage complex automations, and collaborate closely with developers to deliver powerful business processes. This role offers opportunity to grow into development work including Apex, integrations, and custom code.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Platform Configuration & Automation: Design and build Flow solutions, Process Builder automations, and validation rules to meet complex business requirements. Configure and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and Lightning record pages. Create and manage permission sets, profiles, sharing rules, and field-level security to enforce data governance. Build and maintain Lightning Experience customisations including dynamic forms and Lightning record pages.
- Data Management & Integration: Design data models and relationships (master-detail, lookups, junction objects) for fintech workflows including merchant onboarding, KYC tracking, and payment processing. Manage data quality through validation rules, duplicate management, and data migration using Data Loader and third-party tools. Configure and support integrations with external systems including payment processors, banking APIs, and accounting platforms using declarative tools and APIs. Collaborate with developers on REST/SOAP API integrations and middleware solutions.
- Development Growth & Technical Work: Learn and apply Apex basics to support triggers and classes built by the development team. Participate in Salesforce DX workflows, change sets, and sandbox management for release deployments. Support testing strategies including writing test data scenarios and participating in UAT cycles. Document technical configurations and conduct knowledge-transfers sessions with stakeholders.
- Administration & Optimisation: Monitor platform performance, governor limits, and storage usage; recommend optimisations. Stay current with Salesforce releases and evaluate new features for business value. Provide ongoing support for users, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system documentation. Support release management activities and post-deployment verification.
Essential Criteria:
- 3+ years of professional Salesforce administration experience in a business or fintech environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Flow, Process Builder, validation rules, formula fields, and declarative automation.
- Strong understanding of security models including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Experience designing custom objects and complex data models with various relationship types.
- Working knowledge of data management tools (Data Loader, import wizards) and handling large datasets.
- Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator preferred.
- Experience with integrations, APIs, and connecting Salesforce to third-party systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Exposure to Apex, SOQL, or Visualforce; willingness to develop coding skills.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, change sets, and deployment best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and version control.
- Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with Jira or similar tools.
- Background in financial services, payments, or B2B SaaS environments.
