We are seeking a Product Engineer to join ourCardiff-based engineering team which is Perm or FTE with BGTS reportingto the Lead Developer.

You will work closely with businessstakeholders, product owners and fellow engineers to understand businesschallenges, shape solutions and deliver high-quality digital products used bythousands of learners and driving instructors across the UK.

You will take ownership of features fromdiscovery through to production, delivering solutions that create value forboth the business and our customers.

Our products are built using technologiesincluding TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, Flutter and AWS. Experiencewith these technologies is beneficial, but we are primarily seeking engineerswith strong problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgement and theability to learn quickly. We embrace AI-assisted software development andexpect engineers to use these tools responsibly while maintaining highstandards of quality, security and maintainability.

Responsibilities

1. Workwith business stakeholders and product owners to understand businesschallenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Take ownership of features from discoverythrough implementation, deployment and production support.
3. Translate business requirements intopractical, scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
4. Deliver high-quality software that balancescustomer value, engineering quality and operational stability.
5. Collaborate effectively with engineers,testers, designers and business stakeholders.
6. Use modern engineering practices andAI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining accountabilityfor the quality of delivered solutions.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement ofproducts, engineering practices, tooling and your own professionaldevelopment.
