The Work Pack engineer is responsible for all work-pack planning and preparation in line with site specific procedures; delivering briefings to the Fabrication manager, Schedule and General Foreman on the contents of work-packs/books..
- Carryout all WorkPack preparation in-line with the clients policies and procedures.
- Complete all Work-Pack preparation within planning timescale window to maintain the contract KPI's & OTIF's
- Prepare "Early Warnings" and advise FM of any significant delays during the planning phase to minimise delivery issues.
- Hold/Chair weekly meetings and review planning, planning delays and raise and manage planning action log to ensure all actions are delivered in a timely fashion.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for the work-pack and raise requisitions for plant, consumables, materials within BUK scope
- Check that adequate controls are in place to reduce risk to BUK throughout the planning phase.
- Promote health, safety, environmental and quality assurance in all planning activities within the contract.
- Develop and implement the Safe Systems of Work to meet HSEQ standards.
- Proactively work with the team providing positive input and support with ongoing project activities and ad hoc requirements
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance team working approaches to ensure continuous improvement and efficiencies are achieved
- Continually update knowledge and understanding to maintain CPD.
- Monday to Friday based on site full time
- 38 hours a week
Duties included within this role, but not limited to the following (Additional tasks may be given to WBP at the discretion of the FM, if deemed appropriate
Role Qualifications:
- Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) NVQ Mechanical-Level 3
- Preferably, you will also have an ISOH Managing Safety Cert.
