Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Construction Manager, coordinate Temporary Works on EPCM or EPC projects.
- Implement Bilfinger Temporary Works procedures on site and ensure other contractors comply with their procedures.
- Act as the single point of contact on-site for Temporary Works coordination.
- Ensure appointed Temporary Works Supervisors operate according to approved procedures.
- Prepare design briefs with adequate consultation, aligned with on-site conditions.
- Identify residual risks and include them in the design brief.
- Ensure proper categorization and satisfactory design of Temporary Works.
- Attend design review meetings to monitor progress and readiness for use.
- Coordinate activities related to Temporary Works, ensuring responsibilities are allocated and accepted.
- Maintain an up-to-date Temporary Works Register with design changes.
- Serve as the main contact between designers and the site team, ensuring design implementation per drawings and specs.
- Issue permissions for Temporary Works to be loaded or brought into use.
- Provide full design details and guidance to on-site supervisors and prepare method statements.
- Ensure design availability to relevant parties such as the Principal Designer.
- Create and manage inspection and maintenance programs for Temporary Works.
- Check proposed material or construction changes against original design and document actions.
- Manage permits and hold points, preventing unauthorized alterations.
- Authorize the dismantling of Temporary Works according to safety procedures.
- Retain relevant information for the Health and Safety File.
- Check the suitability of Temporary Works for future projects and ensure inspections are completed.
Your profile
- Over 3 years of experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator, preferably on EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of Temporary Works design, familiar with BS standards and industry practices.
- Extensive civil and electrical experience, with expertise in Temporary Works management and execution.
- Experience with early works, design collaboration, engineering, and constructability.
- Solid understanding of Civil and Structural engineering and design, with knowledge of other disciplines like Automation, Mechanical, Piping, EC&I, and Process.
- Educational background with MEng, BEng, HNC, or HND in Civil and Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in producing civil and structural specifications, scopes of work, calculations, drawings, and schedules.
