An onsite technical/admin clerk plays a vital support role in engineering, construction, or industrial projects by handling documentation, data management, and administrative coordination directly at the project site. Here\’s a snapshot of what the role typically involves:
Responsibilities
- Document Control : Managing technical documents, drawings, and reports—ensuring they’re properly filed, updated, and accessible to engineers and project managers.
- Data Entry & Tracking : Updating spreadsheets, databases, and logs related to project progress, materials, or equipment.
- Team Support : Assisting engineers, Superintendent and supervisors with compiling reports, preparing manuals, and chasing up deliverables.
- Communication : Liaising with internal teams and sometimes clients to ensure smooth information flow.
- Software Use : Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and sometimes project-specific systems.
- Work Packs : Creation of workpacks
- Administrative Duties: Ordering of supplies,

- Based at Royston, with occasional travel to other company sites as operational needs arise. Accommodation can be provided for travelling clerks..
Working 11 day rolling fortnight, 10 x 10hrs days and 1 x 6hrs day. All hours paid at basic rate.
