Repairs of issues found.Constantly observe for potential health and safety issues at workElectrical installation, commissioning, fault finding & project worksModification of PLC & MCC Control Panels, including fault findingPrompt reporting about maintenance visits and call outs to the manager and suggesting solutions in the case of unresolved issuesLiaise with customers about technical side of the maintenance visit / call out or project works as requiredMaintain good relationship with customers’ engineers during the maintenance visit and promote Bilfinger’s brandIdentify areas of concern on existing equipment and suggest possible solutions and improvementsSpecify parts required for call outs, projects or maintenanceSupport and shadow new starters to ensure they have a good understanding of service activitiesFollow market development on his/hers area of expertiseSuggest training courses needed to keep skills up to dateKeep all security vetting requirements up to date for the clients namely MOJ, NHS, Police services, Nuclear clients etcAs a Service Engineer you would be required to carry out preventive maintenance checks to site for our contract customers and you would be required to carry out inspections of control equipment, diagnose and rectify any faults that you find. You would be expected to resolve any issues at site with the minimum interruption to the client. You may be troubleshooting problems over the phone as well as attending the site to resolve problems.Other duties carried out may be testing equipment and installation and commissioning of control systems on site.Online access (Broad band) will be required from your home to access company’s intranet and file server.We are looking for pro-active can-do mentality, hands on engineer and team player who can interact and interface with other team members and as well as clients.Experience and QualificationsInstallation of Electrical PLC Systems (Including Containment)Electrical Fault finding on Automated control systemsLevel 3 electrical apprenticeshipECS Card Black or Gold desirable18th edition Regulations desirableIPAF desirable.Be able to carry out control panel and MCC modifications Must be able to obtain SCIf you wish to speak to a member of the recruitment team, please contact 01224 246246.
