Overview
As Welding Supervisor on the Puma project in Hull, you will lead welding activities and ensure quality, safety, and on-site coordination. You will work closely with site teams to manage schedules and workmanship in a high-stakes industrial setting. You drive safety, compliance, and productivity while maintaining documentation and standards. This role offers hands-on leadership on a flagship project within Bilfinger UKβs engineering and maintenance portfolio, with a clear impact on project delivery and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise welding activities on the Puma project in Hull
- Ensure welding quality and conformance to procedures and standards
- Maintain safety compliance and site QA/QC documentation
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and peers to meet schedules
- Inspect welds and authorize workmanship in accordance with project specs
- Support on-site planning, supervision, and problem solving
- Liaise with project stakeholders and report progress and issues
- Adhere to NAECI rates and relevant site regulations
Key requirements
- CCNSG or CSCS or EMSS
- NVQ or City & Guilds or Pro Qual
- experience as welding supervisor on industrial projects
- ability to work on a project with defined start (ASAP) and end (June 27) dates
