b Overview /b p As Safety Advisor on the PUMA project, you will support the implementation of HSE management systems on a large-scale construction site. You’ll provide expert guidance to site management and workforces to ensure legislative compliance, standards, and client expectations. Your proactive presence on site will drive hazard identification, risk control, and continuous safety improvements. This role offers a frontline health, safety and environmental focus with a strong impact on project delivery and safety culture. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide competent HSE advice to management, supervisors and employees /li li Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and regulations /li li Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety tours to identify hazards /li li Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and determine root causes /li li Develop and maintain RAMS and safe systems of work /li li Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure site compliance /li li Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and training programs /li li Support planning to ensure risks are assessed and controlled /li li Maintain HSE records, reports and statistics /li li Assist in developing and improving HSE management systems /li li Monitor compliance with policies and industry best practices /li li Participate in emergency planning, drills and response /li li Promote workforce engagement through behavioural safety /li li Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders on HSE matters /li li Close out audit findings and track corrective actions /li li Support environmental and occupational health programs where applicable /li li Analyze safety performance data for management reviews /li li Champion proactive safety culture and continuous improvement /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience as Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor in construction, engineering, industrial services, petrochemical, chemical, manufacturing or energy sectors /li li Experience supporting Principal Contractor operations under CDM 2015 /li li Site inspections, audits, behavioural safety observations, leadership safety tours /li li Experience reviewing RAMS /li /ul ul li Proactive and hands-on approach /li li Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams /li li Leadership in safety culture and behavioural safety /li li UK HSE legislation knowledge (Health Safety at Work Act 1974) /li li RAMS development and review /li li Incident investigation and root cause analysis /li /ul
