b Overview /b p As a Cost Engineer at Bilfinger UK, you will own cost control, budgeting and forecasting for major construction projects across diverse markets. You’ll manage subcontractor costs, BoQ remeasurements and payment submissions, while analysing risks and cash flow. You will facilitate subcontractor progress meetings and ensure accurate valuations and change responses. You will work within a safety‑driven, contractor‑biased environment to protect margins and support project delivery at scale. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide key financial data for monthly P L submissions /li li Remeasure and check BOQ updates /li li Forecast actuals versus budget and analyse variances /li li Conduct risk analysis (best case, worst case, most likely) for cost and value /li li Manage cost provisions and accruals including third party materials and subcontractors /li li Weekly cost ledger analysis using SAP and Power BI /li li Understand and apply each subcontract agreement /li li Manage early warning notifications from subcontractors /li li Determine cost to date and forecast to complete /li li Handle change management and client notification of compensation events /li li Compile data for main payment applications /li li Facilitate subcontractor progress/update meetings /li li Agree subcontractor valuations and payment certificates /li li Prepare cash flow forecasts /li li Conduct commercial auditing of subcontractor payments, rates, and claims /li li Drive innovation to improve contribution margin /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience with NEC 4 Option B Contracts /li li Knowledge of NAECI Agreement /li li Experience on major construction projects /li li Standard Method of Measurement /li li Strong bias to contractor delivery /li /ul ul li analytical mindset /li li stakeholder management /li li clear communication /li li SAP /li li Power BI /li li cost control and forecasting /li /ul
