The position holder is employed as an Assistant Inspection Project Engineer. This role is responsible for assisting with the coordination, planning and day to day delivery of Inspection services personnel and equipment on the Torus CNRI contract. They will ensure these activities are implemented in a safe and effective manner. They will carry out these duties in accordance with the company procedures and to the high levels of service expected by the company. The Onshore Inspection Assistant Project Engineer will strictly adhere to the company’s principles of independence and impartiality.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide Operational support as required to both Bilfinger & Client, both Onshore & Offshore
• Ensure mobilisation requirements of personnel & equipment are complete for offshore
• Updating of operational Rotas’
• Attend meetings to maintain key communications with Offshore Teams & Client
• Assist with preparation of presentation material
• Material and Equipment Management – Includes maintaining material trackers, monitoring outward & inward shipping of equipment, write offs & transfers
• Communication with stores & shipping departments to ensure timely issuing of equipment
• Timewriting of onshore working hours and training hours for offshore personnel
• Review and approval of weekly offshore timesheets
• Approve 3rd party agency invoices for work completed, including investigation of discrepancies
• Ensure invoicing data is correct for labour & plant prior to submission to client
• Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts
• Ensure equipment checks, inspection reports, HSE reports and all relevant documents are received from Offshore in a timely manner
• Address PAYE wage queries and approval of Expenses
• Approve and maintain offshore holiday requests
• Completion of qualification forms prior to mobilisation to ensure personnel are competent
• Liaise with T&C team regarding any new, outstanding and gaps in training
• QC checking of Inspection Reports received from offshore
• Arrange issue and tracking of TLD badges for classified workers
• Assist Inspection Project Manager, Project Planner and Project Engineer
• Provide cover for Project Planner and Project Engineer during absences
Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in working in Oil and Gas offshore environment
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft / SAP or similar company databases
• Potential to advance/progress to a higher level of management
• Experience related to in-service Inspection – desirable
• Minimum of 2 Highers / Advanced Highers / A levels or equivalent – desirable
